The SmartTrack™ Sensor for API laser tracking systems is a major breakthrough for large-scale measurement and alignment applications.
This measurement tool provides automatic 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) measurement for dynamic precision applications by determining position (x, y, z) and rotational orientation (pitch, yaw, roll) of a tracked point in real time.
It reveals the true position and orientation of a moving target, such as a robotic end effector.
There is no longer a need to use three trackers to determine part orientation in real time.

Portability:
Weighing only 1.4 kg (3.1 lbs), the compact SmartTrack™ Sensor is ideal for direct mounting on alignment fixtures and robotic arms.
SmartTrack™ Operation:
A motorized receiver inside the SmartTrack operation sensor tracks the laser beam, providing real-time object position and yaw information. A patented roll detection system provides the object’s roll angle.
The SmartTrack Sensor greatly simplifies instrument and software complexity for performing intricate alignment tasks.
