COD Meter Oven (1200 ° C or 1600 ° C)

 

  • COD High Temperature Gauge for use on materials with a slot for ceramic bars.

  • Water cooled and oven stand mounted, these are for use at 1200 ° C (2200 ° F).

  • The high temperature option allows use at 1600 ° C (2900 ° F).

  • They are specifically designed for mechanical fracture tests.

  • These COD meters mounted on a water cooled rack, which is mounted on a side cut oven with a load cell option for the rack.

The standard temperature version (at 1200 ° C) is supplied with high purity alumina rods. The high temperature option is conditioned silicon carbide rods. The rods are made to order for the length required for your furnace.

 

  • Mounting brackets can be integrated with the oven.

  • Epsilon can also provide optional mounting brackets to fit your test frame.

  • The contact edges of the test specimen should be somewhat rounded (no sharp edges) for best performance with this model.

  • The Model 3548COD extensometers are strain gauges, which are compatible with any electronic device designed for strain transducers.

They are often connected to a testing machine controller. In this case, the extensometer is supplied with the appropriate connector and wiring to connect directly to the electronics.

 

For systems that lack the necessary electronic components, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition cards, graphic recorders, or other equipment.
