The MFI 1312 Touchscreen Melt Flow Index Tester is a precision instrument designed for the rheological characterization of thermoplastic polymers. Unlike basic models, this unit incorporates a microprocessor-controlled system that manages the entire testing cycle, from cylinder preheating to final result calculation, ensuring strict compliance with ISO 1133 and ASTM D1238 standards.

 

Its intuitive touchscreen interface allows the operator to select between Method A (Gravimetric), ideal for standard materials using automatic extrudate cutting, and Method B (Volumetric), which utilizes a high-resolution displacement sensor to measure the flow behavior of highly fluid materials without manual intervention.

 

The instrument automatically processes melt density data to convert MVR (Melt Volume Rate) into MFR (Melt Flow Rate), eliminating manual calculation errors and enabling the export of detailed test reports to a PC through dedicated software.
