2818 Notching Machine

The quality of single-axis impact testing depends largely on the precision of the notch machined into the specimen.

The notch is produced through the combination of the following two movements:

 

  • Reciprocating knife movement (electronically adjustable)
  • Linear translation of the specimen vise

 

A centering and locking system allows the operator to reduce setup and machining time while achieving a high level of accuracy and repeatability in specimen preparation.

The machine is specifically designed to produce precise notches for impact test specimens, ensuring reliable and consistent results in accordance with international testing standards.
