These instruments are designed to determine the flowability characteristics of granular plastic materials and powders that flow through a standardized-size orifice.

 

The collection container located beneath the apparatus also enables the determination of bulk density by weighing a known volume of material using an analytical balance.

 

This flow meter is used to measure the bulk density and flowability of plastic materials in accordance with ASTM D1895 Method A and ISO 6186 standards.

  • Measures the flowability of plastic granules and powders.
  • Determines bulk density using a known material volume.
  • Collection cup capacity: 100 ± 0.5 cm³.
  • Hopper with 9.5 mm diameter discharge orifice and bottom shut-off device.
