45/60 Degree Horizontal Testing Cabinet

  .

This precision test chamber has been specifically designed to determine the response of materials when exposed to a direct flame source, in accordance with the most demanding safety protocols of the aerospace industry. The equipment enables both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of self-extinguishing behavior, residual afterglow, and the structural integrity of materials following thermal stress.

It is the standard solution for the certification of materials used in aircraft interiors, as well as for the validation of high-performance textiles employed in flame-resistant protective clothing.

Features:

  • The system is designed to determine the ability of materials to self-extinguish after exposure to a direct ignition source. This analysis is critical to ensuring that components do not contribute to fire propagation, evaluating their thermal behavior under the stringent safety requirements of FAR 25 and BSS 7230 standards.
  • Specialized measurement system for the detection and precise timing of three fundamental variables: afterflame time following removal of the heat source, residual afterglow time, and the exact char length of the material. These measurements enable a technical classification of the structural damage sustained during testing.
  • High-performance stainless-steel construction capable of accommodating vertical, horizontal, and 45°/60° test configurations. The chamber includes a precision-calibrated burner and a controlled airflow cabinet that ensures exceptional repeatability and consistency of laboratory test results.
