Model M5i Advanced Digital Force / Torque Indicator

High-Speed 500 Hz Data Output Rate

The M5i Advanced Digital Force and Torque Indicator is designed to operate with a wide range of Mark-10 remote force and torque sensors. Thanks to exclusive Plug & Test® technology, all calibration and configuration data are stored within the sensor’s smart connector—not in the indicator itself—allowing true sensor interchangeability. Sensor password protection prevents the use of unauthorized sensors. In addition, all sensors are fully compatible with the basic Model M3i indicator.

The M5i shares its menu structure and most specifications with the Series 5 digital force gauges. Its exceptionally fast 7,000 Hz sampling rate delivers accurate results even in high-speed testing applications. A large backlit graphic LCD displays clear, easy-to-read characters, while the intuitive menu provides quick access to the indicator’s functions and configurable parameters.

Data can be transferred to a PC or data collector through USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic), or analog outputs.

The indicator includes internal memory for up to 1,000 readings, along with statistical calculations and PC output capabilities. Integrated set points with indicators and outputs are ideal for pass/fail testing and for activating external devices such as alarms or relays. An analog load bar is also displayed to provide a graphical representation of the applied force or torque.

The averaging mode allows users to record the average load over time, while the external trigger mode enables precise switch activation testing.

The M5i includes MESUR® Lite data acquisition software. MESUR® Lite tabulates continuous or single-point data, and data stored in the indicator’s memory can be downloaded in batches.

With a single click, data can be exported to Excel for easy analysis and reporting.
