Designed to meet key international photovoltaic standards (such as IEC 61215, IEC 61646, IEC 61730, and UL 1703), the Solar PV Module Test Chambers by North American Envirosystems evaluate the long-term durability and electrical performance of solar panels under extreme environmental conditions. Covering UV pre-conditioning, thermal cycling, humidity freeze, and damp heat exposure, these systems provide precise environmental simulation for full-size monofacial and bifacial modules.

- UV Pre-Conditioning Chambers (MWC9500UV & MWC15KUV):
- Test Space Volume: 9,500 L (336 cu. ft.) and 15,000 L (530 cu. ft.).
- Capacity: Accommodates 2 monofacial or bifacial full-size PV panels.
- UV System: Broad spectrum 280 to 400 nm using 180W UV fluorescent lamps (UVA 9%, UVB 4%) or metal halide arrays. Delivers a minimum dose of 15 kWh/m² at a module temperature of 60 °C (plus/minus 5 °C).
- Thermal Cycling Test Chambers (MWC5600TC & MWC16KTC):
- Temperature Range: -40 °C to +85 °C (-40 °F to +185 °F).
- Performance & Capacity: Supports controlled ramp rates up to 100 °C/hr for 10 panels (MWC5600TC) or 25 panels (MWC16KTC) across 200 qualification cycles.
- Humidity Freeze Test Chambers (MWC5600HF & MWC16KHF):
- Climate & Humidity Range: -50 °C to +120 °C (-58 °F to +248 °F) with 10% to 98% RH.
- Cycle Profile: Executes 24-hour combined cycles featuring a minimum 20-hour dwell at 85 °C / 85% RH and a sub-zero freeze point at -40 °C.
- Damp Heat Test Chamber (MWC16KDH):
- Test Environment: Maintains continuous steady-state conditions at +80 °C to +85 °C and 85% RH.
- Long-Term Testing: Designed for 1,000 hours of uninterrupted exposure holding up to 25 full-size panels.
enviCoM 4.0 Controller & Connectivity Ecosystem
- Smart Series Touch Interface: Total glass design touchscreen running Linux RT OS with JMobile software and CODESYS V3 PLC logic. Features scratch, UV, and chemical resistance.
- Hardware Connectivity: Integrated with 3 Ethernet ports (supporting 3 independent IP networks), 2 USB ports, 1 serial port (RS-232/485/422), SD slot, and 2 expansion slots. Certified for IECEx, ATEX, DNV-GL, and UL Class 1 Div 2 environments.
