Video Extensometer Imetrum

Video extensometer used for tensile testing.

With the video extensometer, longitudinal and transverse deformations are measured in material tests (e.g. tension, compression tests). Other analysis modules are available to determine crack lengths (e.g. long-term tests) and crack surfaces (e.g. joints).

Vector is a new concept in deformation and extension measurement. It is capable of replacing multiple sensors with a single industry-specific instrument, reducing throughput times and improves the precision and consistency of measurements.

The Vector non-contact range is intended as a clip-on replacement for testing monotonous materials. Depending on the sample width size, gauge length and elongation will determine which Vector model to select. Typically, the Vector U70 is designed for small and medium samples and the Vector U200 is designed for medium and large samples.

Accurate

Do you need a measurement system that provides accurate results? Vector is capable of meeting and exceeding the requirements of ISO9513 Class 0.5 and ASTM E83 B-1 extensometer standards.

Intuitive

Do you need multiple gauge lengths and the simplicity of a clip? Vector replaces a wide range of measurement sensors, such as clip-on, automatic and video extensometers, with a single device, in many cases eliminating the need for multiple instruments per test station.

Automated

Are you looking for a system that gives you confidence that you are testing to the required standard? Vector simplifies operator interaction and improves test reliability:

  • Allows automated contactless control
  • Simplifies operator interaction
  • Improve test performance
  • Simplify workflows
  • Allows variations in user interactions
  • Reduces training needs.
